          About Us

        Although the aging of the baby boom generation won't impact the state of Texas fully until approximately 2015, the senior age group is already growing faster than the general population with the number of Texans age 85 or older, doubling between 2000 and 2010.

        In addition, nearly seven million Americans are now considered long-distance caregivers for older relatives (i.e, a travel distance of one hour or more between the caregiver and older adult needing assistance), with the average travel time for these caregivers to reach their relatives is 4 hours.

          Experience & Knowledge

        Cheryl Culbertson, owner of Texas Elder Solutions, is also the developer and owner of Elder Options of Texas, a popular and widely used website for locating senior housing, elder care, and community services in Texas...free of charge. Cheryl is also the developer and owner of Goldensurf.com, which provides resources and information for anyone 55+, including travel, arts and literature, sports and recreation and more!

        Prior to starting her Internet business, Cheryl spent 15+ years working with the families of aging parents, healthcare professionals, and the elderly themselves, in a variety of health care and senior housing related capacities. It's this "hands-on" knowledge and industry "know how" that gives Cheryl the edge on being able to successfully increase your company's awareness and referrals, regarding the products or services you offer.  

        In addition, Cheryl is the founder of the Texas Elder Options Networking Group (TEO), a successful and highly respected monthly networking group, with 95+ members all of whom work within the aging industry in a variety of capacities.
